Bankruptcy

Being confronted by persistent debt collectors, menacing lawsuits, and aggressive government action can be deeply distressing for those who are struggling with their finances. And then, when all is said and done, the only alternative left is for them to file bankruptcy forms to the courts. It may seem like a drastic measure, but in fact this is often the only way to deal with the situation.

Alsip residents with personal debt problems can rest assured that when they engage the services of the bankruptcy attorneys of Thomas W. Lynch it is a fact that they will receive the best legal knowledge and expertise they need to see them through these difficult times.

Our law offices have legal experts and support staff well-versed in all types of personal bankruptcy and business bankruptcy situations including Chapter 7 & Chapter 13 bankruptcy regulations for individuals and Chapter 7 & 11 bankruptcy regulations for businesses.

Chapter 7 Individual Bankruptcy

People with serious debt are encouraged to file for Chapter 7 bankruptcy because it gives them the potential to keep their most treasured possessions (house, automobile, furniture among other things). Chapter 7 also offers the chance to get out of most types of unsecured debt, including credit cards, medical bills, judgments, garnishments, and some types of taxes.

Chapter 13 Individual Bankruptcy

This form of bankruptcy usually relates to people with mortgage debt, but Chapter 13 bankruptcy can also be beneficial for individuals because, like Chapter 7, they may be able to keep their house and possessions.

Chapter 7 Business Bankruptcy

A Company Chapter Seven (Chapter 7 bankruptcy) provides people facing business bankruptcy with the chance to avoid creditor harassment. Our highly qualified staff and top-level bankruptcy attorneys are adept and proficient in all legal matters pertaining to business law and debt relief agency work and can offer the best advice going to help file bankruptcy papers.

A Thomas W. Lynch foreclosure attorney can help struggling business people reduce the potential of future lawsuit which ordinarily results in other positive possibilities being opened up to them.

Chapter 11 Business Bankruptcy

It can be tragic when a family business or old established firm has to close because it can no longer run at a healthy profit. Indeed it is sad when any business has to close due to bad times. However, Chapter 11 bankruptcy is the route many business-entrepreneurs like to consider because, believe it or not, a legal court can grant complete or partial rest from most of the company’s obligations and its’ contracts, to make sure that the business can pursue a brand new start.

About Alsip

The history of Alsip can be traced as far back to the 15th century when French explorers and missionaries came to the area which until then had been home to the Potawatomi Indians. German and Dutch farm settlers then arrived in the 1830s whereupon it began to grow as an industrial center.

Named after Fred Alsip and the Alsip family who established a brick factory and clay quarry in 1885, the village was incorporated in 1927 and received the name of its most famous businessman (although the family didn’t actually reside here, preferring Chicago instead!)

Nevertheless, it’s an apt honor as the town of Alsip today is a flourishing community covering 8.5 square miles and home to approximately 20,000 residents, with some 800 commercial, industrial, retail, and corporate businesses in its vicinity.
