IRS closing for 5 days

If you waited until the last minute to mail your tax return to the federal government, you may be waiting even longer for your tax refund.  Due to budget cuts, the Internal Revenue Service will close for five days between May and August.  IRS workers will not receive pay for those days and may even be required to take an additional two furlough days.  To find out what the closure could mean for taxpayers read, “IRS to close for 5 days due to budget cuts.”
