Bank of America is at the center of a scandal regarding home loan modifications. Six former BOA employees allege that the bank lied to homeowners and denied loan modifications even in cases where the homeowners were eligible for the modifications. Employees allege that the bank rewarded employees who placed accounts in foreclosure while punishing those who did not have enough accounts placed into foreclosure. Furthermore, the employees allege that BOA provided false information to the government.
